About The Job of
The Mayor
The position of Mayor is considered
the most important elected position in town. By virtue of being
elected by residents, the mayor is acknowledged to be a civic
leader, someone who has earned the confidence of the community.

person in town. However, the mayor sits in a strong position
and can use considerable influence in determining city finances,
taxes, services, and other policies. The mayor runs the assembly
