Priscilla Schulte Honored

 

Priscilla SchultePriscilla is a life long educator. She first came to Ketchikan in 1980 to teach at the Ketchikan Community College. Priscilla holds a Ph.D. in Anthropology and Education and is a tenured faculty member at UAS Ketchikan.

She is an active member of the Alaska Native Sisterhood and has been adopted by a Tlingit clan in a traditional ceremony.

Priscilla has done a tremendous amount of work in the preservation of Southeast Alaska native history and culture and to further the education of many students over the years.

She worked hard to raise her two children as a single mother while working full time and attending graduate school.
