KIC Announces Hire Of New General Manager

The Ketchikan Indian Community announced the hiring of James D. Horton as the new General Manager.

According to a KIC news release, Horton is an enrolled member of the Yakama Indian Nation, and has worked in many high-level posts with tribes in the state of Washington and with Indian Agencies in Washington D.C. Most recently, Mr. Horton has been self-employed as a General Contractor and as a private consultant. Horton has a degree in Business Administration from Central Washington University.

David Landis, KIC Programs Manager, has been employed as the Interim General Manager since October 26, 2001; Landis will now be returning to his former position.

The newly hired General Manager is in the process of moving his household from Yakama, Washington to Ketchikan.
