Betty DuVall

 

Diane Gubatayao presented a 2001 Community Asset Builder Award to Betty DuVall who has worked very hard to get the "PROJECT PLAY" program started. There areBetty DuVall currently ninety 11-years to 13-years old girls enrolled. It is not only basketball or soccer, it also teaches proper nutrition, self-esteem and much more.

DuVall is recognized for building the assets of other caring adults, youth as resources, positive adult role models, positive peer influence, youth programs, caring integrity, responsibility, restraint, planning and decision making, interpersonal competence, resistance skills, personal power, self-esteem, sense of purpose and positive view of personal future.

On accepting the award, DuVall said, "I stand up here very undeserving of this award. I take it on behalf of many people involved in PROJECT PLAY."
