Forest Shreeve and B.J. Deatherage compete in the preliminary Fingerling Division log-rolling competition held Friday. The Fingerling Division is made up of 8-9 year-olds and the Small Fry Division is made of 5-7 year-olds. The Keepers Division also participated in the competition and is made up of 10-14 year-olds.

The Ketchikan Cohos, comprised of both divisions, competed for places in the world championships which will be held in Haywood, Wisconsin in July of 2003. Friday's event was held at the Great Alaskan Lumberjack Show. The log-rolling event was part of the festivities celebrating the Tongass National Forest Centennial.
