the 1st inning.

Brandon Pilcher led off for Ketchikan in the bottom of the first with a home run. Ricky Grams walked to first and Casey Bass followed him into the batter's box racking up a two-run home run bringing Ketchikan's score at the end of the first inning to 3 runs.

During the second inning, the teams held each other at bay with neither scoring runs during the inning.

In the bottom of the third, a hit to right field by Ketchikan's Mike Meacock brought Austin Wolf home with Nate Norton stealing home which racked up two more runs for the Ketchikan team to add to their score.

During the fourth inning both teams again held their ground.

Wrangell/Petersburg pleased their fans by starting off the 5th inning with a triple, scoring one run. Then with Ketchikan up to the plate, Nate Norton led off the batting for Ketchikan in the bottom of the 5th inning with a home run. Notably, Norton's powerful hit to center field struck the score board. Mike Meacock also scored making it home with a hit by Kyle Howe bringing the Ketchikan All Stars' score at the end of the 5th inning to Ketchikan 7, Wrangell/Petersburg 3.

Ketchikan was successful in holding the Stikine Pilots during the top of the 6th inning and picked up a run with a hit by B.J. Pahang which gave Brandon Eubanks the opportunity to slide into home.

At the top of the seventh inning, the Stikine Pilots generated a team effort to rally and successfully scored two runs before the game ended. The final score Ketchikan 8, Wrangell/Petersburg 5.

Skilled pitching by Ketchikan's Nate Norton - along with the vital hits by Ketchikan's batters and the precision team work of the out-fielders - enabled the Ketchikan team to hold off the Stikine Pilots and win the game.
