Christopher Lee Van Slyke is engaged to be married to Janae Elizabeth Gifford.

Mr. Van Slyke is the son of Terry and Rochelle Van Slyke of Ketchikan. Christopher graduated from Ketchikan High School in 1997 and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in 2001

with a Bachelors degree in Sports Medicine. Chris is currently employed as an Athletic Trainer for Idaho Physical Therapy and Borah High School in Boise, ID.

The bride elect, Janae, is the daughter of Harv and Jan Gifford of Edmonds Washington. Miss Gifford graduated from Meadowdale High School in 1998 and graduated from Northwest Nazarene University in 2002 with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Janae is employed as a third grade teacher at Owyhee Elementary School in Nampa, Idaho.

The wedding will be at the Aurora Church of the Nazarene in Shoreline, Washington on July 20th, 2002.

The Best Man, Terry Van Slyke, is the father of the groom. Groomsmen are Chris Peabody and Joel Cuplin of Ketchikan and Scott Halley of Boise, Idaho.

Maid of Honor is Janae's sister, Jacque, of Edmonds, Washington. Bridesmaids are the groom's sister Erika Van Slyke of Ketchikan and Brooke Haney of Edmonds, Washington. The Junior Bridesmaid will be the groom's' youngest sister, Amy Van Slyke of Ketchikan.

Chris and Janae will honeymoon in Mexico and the newlyweds will make their home in Nampa, Idaho.
